General Responsibilities: 

Responsible for directly supervising the branch staff by directing and providing leadership; performing a variety of duties to meet the business banking needs of business prospects and customers; developing a presence in the local community; developing a small business banking in the market area and support and refer larger deals to the Commercial Lending Officer. 

Essential Duties: 

Creates a sales focus in the branch through contests, promotions, recognition and training; Provides coaching and role-playing with staff to ensure that they have the skills and are following the bank’s customer service policy; Ensures that customer service is consistently maintained at a high level, that the branch staff clearly understands service expectations and have the skills and training to provide the highest level of customer service; Ensures that all employees are informed and focused through regular branch meetings that communicate sales results; Accepts ultimate responsibility for the accurate and timely completion of monthly branch audit reports, quarterly FDICIA reports, and other related reports as assigned by the Branch Administrator; Works with the Security Officer to recover fraudulent losses; Handles returned checks, collection items and closes overdrawn accounts; Joins local community organizations and attends community events after work as a means of marketing the Bank in the community; Accepts ultimate responsibility for safeguarding all Bank assets within the branch; Jointly establishes aggressive quantitative sales objectives, with assigned supervisor, on an annual basis, this activity to be integrated with the department’s annual marketing/sales plan; Solicits new business from present and prospective customers and maintains ongoing business relationships with present customers in order to take advantage of additional cross-selling opportunities; Serves as a member of the Bank’s sales team and makes group sales calls where these types of calls will improve the opportunity for new business development; Develops small business banking in the market area and refers larger deals to the Commercial Lending Officer; Develops a presence in the community networking with local leaders and the business community. 

Branch Manager III

General Responsibilities: 

Responsible for working as an active member of the bank's sales/service commercial lending department; providing commercial customers with direct service relating to the bank's commercial services portfolio; developing customer relationships so as to take advantage of additional selling and cross-selling opportunities; communicating with sales and lending management personnel with respect to sales objectives, sales performance, and other factors affecting the sales/service function; providing required information on sales and service activities, generating and maintaining a profitable quality commercial loan portfolio. Responsible for marketing, sales, quality, co-ordination, policy conformance, training, reporting documentation for banking products and services. Promoting the bank's CRA requirements and policy; adheres to FDICIA and compliance procedures as they apply to the bank's lending activities.

Commercial Banking Relationship Manager   

General Responsibilities:

Responsible for performing general maintenance and repair work, to include: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry; insuring that all mechanical equipment is functioning properly; performing minor repairs on office equipment.

Essential Duties: 

Performs general maintenance and repair work including: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs on such equipment as electrical fixtures, sinks, and drinking fountains; Installs ceiling and floor tiles, using general hand tools and electrically powered hand tools; Change light bulbs and perform work on the roof with the use of a ladder, etc. ; Insures that all mechanical equipment, such as air conditioners, heating systems, etc. are functioning properly; Performs minor repairs on office equipment, etc.; Operates a motor vehicle to transport supplies or pick up items; Assists with the stocking and shelving of supplies; Performs minor and routine painting, repairs woodwork and plaster; Performs some carpentry duties in order to build additions or revisions to existing structures or facilities; May be responsible for scheduling company van maintenance. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed

Required Education:

Training, Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent normally preferred; Moderate reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; knowledge of plumbing, electrical, heating, and air conditioning systems; ability to use hand and power tools; carpentry skills; ability to climb a ladder; moderate interpersonal relations and communicative skills; valid driver’s license; ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds for deliveries or to unload trucks.

Facilities Specialist

In this role you will be part of the Information Technology Team providing technical support to all affiliate businesses of Tompkins Financial Corporation. This position requires working one Saturday per month from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.


  • Provides level 2 support to all end users and the IT staff and serves as liaison between level 1 and level 3 for critical incidents
  • Assist with hardware and software implementations and configurations on supported platforms
  • Provides system or application configuration, integration, or recovery services in response to end user service interruptions
  • Works with third-party vendors to resolve issues with vendor hardware software and during a system installation or upgrade
  • Maintains knowledge of operating systems, configurations of both software and hardware, system monitoring, and system problem diagnosis and resolution
  • Provides training for end users and IT staff


  • Associates Degree or equivalent; or specialized training/ or experience
  • Familiarity with related banking software application functionality
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a related role
  • Previous experience with computer hardware and software, including familiarity with computer networks
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills  

General Responsibilities: 

Responsible for actively participating in the bank's sales and business development program; performing various duties to develop new mortgage business; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor and providing required information on sales and service activities; maintaining a current knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and mortgage investor guidelines; coordinating work within the department or unit as well as with other units and departments; responding to inquiries or requests for information.
